The Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) Early Warning Team (EWT) seeks a full-time Regional Data Entry Clerk based in Guatemala City, Guatemala. FEWS NET is an integrated set of activities funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is intended to provide timely, accurate, evidence-based, and transparent food security early warning information and analysis.

Chemonics International (Chemonics) implements the FEWS NET EWT, a team charged with integrated emergency food security analysis through a Washington-based technical office and more than 20 field offices.

The Regional Data Entry Clerk for the LAC regional office will perform data entry tasks by compiling and verifying relevant data to understand food security conditions required for food security analysis. These data are then reviewed by the Regional Data Assistant (RDA) for quality control and transmission to the FEWS NET Data Warehouse.

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Basic written and spoken English is required.
  • Diversified Secondary or Vocational Level (Bachillerato, Perito Contador, Perito Agricola)
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, and Excel), including typing, scanning, and internet research are required. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
