    • Food security has improved for poor households in most rural parts or the country, due primarily to the average 2014 Karan/Karma rains whose improvements on water and pasture resources are still beneficial for livestock. 

    • Thanks to improved water and pasture resources, milk availability, and a continuation of normal livelihood strategies (charcoal production, remittances, and non-farm labor), areas previously in Crisis (IPC Phase 3) will likely improve to at least Stress (IPC Phase 2!) starting in January.
